So, yeah, there was this Medieval Festival in Germany over the weekend and we went there yesterday. Bought a drinking horn and mead (really, really nice stuff, I even got tipsy on it (I'm a light-weight)) and took about 700 pics in three and a half hours, lots of them of pretty guys in skirts (sex-on-legs, if you ask me! *drools* - yes, I'm a lesbian, but aesthetically straight), will be posting more pics later when I've sorted through them.

Did a little clearing up on my f-list. If you haven't been on since 2005 or I haven't talked to you since then, don't take it personally, but you're gone.

On another note, I stumbled headfirst back into an old fandom of mine - Weiss Kreuz. Yep. And I started reading Schu/Yohji again, went over some of my old favourites and got a baby plotbunny for the trouble. I tried to shoot it, but it was too fast and managed to nab onto my brain and now it's sitting in there and gleefully growing and plotting. Bastard. -.-

And on yet another note, why is it that I can't find any good original slash? I like my fandoms, but I'd love to read some original stuff once in a while and there just isn't any out there. Or am I just missing it?

Well, if any of you missed the big DELETADDON of 2007, there's plenty of links for your interest at ldragoon.

That said, I'm so waiting for the first gay person who gets their LJ deleted - that's going to open up a whole new can of worms. And I have to say, that I'm looking forward to it.

And now for some whiny RL-stuff. As I said, I resigned at the call center. The bastards offered me FIXED job, the same salary as before and the small fact that I'd be taking incoming calls instead of making them.

I said no and I've spent the rest of the day banging my head against the wall 'cause it'd be MONEY. As in food and toilet paper and paid tram-tickets. But no, I (or whatever little switch I've got in my head that decided that "Self-preservation Mode" was needed) said no. I turned down easy (more or less) money. I turned down 400EUR/month 'cause I'm either lazy or have a sense of, well, self-preservation.

It's official, I'm an idiot. -.-

(On the small up-side, I might have a few hours/week cleaning at a private person's house if we can work out the details. That money's going to pay my German course next semester.)

Urgel. Went through the Henna-torture again yesterday (headache, headache, headache) and it seems a little darker this time. Next weekend I'll try again and hopefully it'll work even better then.

Tweetie couldn't sleep yesterday because she was too lazy to buy sleeping pills so I think it was after two in the morning before neither of us got any. I'm just going to write this, do some copy-pasting and then go back to bed.

Where to start? I have no fucking clue. So far in my petty little life, I've met one person who called themselves Christian and actually lived up to the promise of it. I have nothing against Christianity, it's Christians I can't stand. I know I've said it before, but I'm a fan of rambling and repeating myself when I've got a good rant going so you have the choice of continuing to read or not.

I'm not ashamed of saying that what I feel for most people calling themselves Christians (as in those who pray, attend church and so on) today is very close to hatred. I'm walking on the very thin line between dislike and hate. I don't have that problem when it comes to other religions. Muslims? This way! Jews? Gimme a hug! Buddhists? Come on in!

Christians? Watch me hiss and spit and try claw myself up a wall. They better back away slowly.

I'm guessing that I'm a sad person for feeling this way, but I don't really care. I'm baptized, I went to the whole confirmation-thing and I come from a small place where Christianity is strong. I went to church during my confirmation-blah and I don't think I've ever felt so unwelcome in my whole life. Ever. The old hags sitting there didn't really appreciate getting new blood in, or they were too busy being eye-servants for the guy up there to try and actually welcome someone new.

Christianity is too much for the "Elite"; those who try to convert everyone they meet, those who think that to get anywhere, you've got to be a certain way and make sure that everyone around you is the same; those who are quite fast with throwing the first stone as soon as someone don't agree with them.
Yes, I do realize that there are people like that in all religions, but for some reason I don't have any problem with anything else than Christianity. It's my blind spot, my red flag or whatever you want to call it. Maybe because to me, all they stand for are lies and falseness. To me, there is nothing true, no real spark in their religion. And they try to make up for it by yelling when you don't listen.

I think that from the beginning, Christianity was a great idea. I think they were on to something there. But the way the last couple of thousand years have gone it's just shown that humans really can destroy anything. Now it's all about rules and what you can or can't do. You can't love whoever you want, and if someone doesn't think exactly like you - conform him into it.

No religion in history has as much blood on its hands as Christianity. The Crusades, for one thing, and then we have the witch hunts, for another. Not to mention the latest little quarrel from the big land overseas. He's all high and mighty and he's got God on his side, right? Except, maybe, when he's actually sent down to his Hell because of all the things he did, he'll realize that in God's eyes, he was nothing.

Do I believe in God? No, but I believe in a God. The Christian God is not more or less than any other god or goddess, he's just more known. Those days I actually do believe, it's usually in a Mother Earth. I'm not Wiccan, but maybe a Chaotic Satanistic Pagan if I really have to pin it down to something. I follow my own roads. I believe in the gods and the goddesses, in an all-caring Mother, but also that for myself I am the highest being.

Why I can't leave Christians alone? I will, when they leave me alone. When they stop trying to preach for me, when they stop trying to tell me how to live my life - then I'll leave them alone.

I always knew my wife is a mean, mean woman, but I had conveniently suppressed that she can be downright cruel when she wants to.

What did she do, you ask? She took fricken ALL of my Icelandish moss!! She gave me ten pieces this morning and took the whole package with her to work!!

And she hides it in the cupboards too, or put it so high up that I can't reach it until she helps me and then she gives me ONE or maybe, if I'm really lucky, two of the damn things. *whines*

Soooo... Back from the gaybar we are! ^.~

It was fun, there were a lot of guys smooching and cuddling and just being cute together. There were no men dressed like women this time, but apparently they come in once in a while. There was a straight couple in there too (we think, Tweetie and I), but they left pretty soon.

I think the nicest thing is that Phil (my coworker - or former coworker since he got fired because our boss is a little... "funny") knows about Tweetie and me and don't give a fuck. He's straight, but he hangs out in the gaybar so he's cool. ^.~ And 42, I think. Anyway, it was nice because there was no way in hell I'd have to feel nervous that there'd be any guy hitting on either Tweetie or me. It was a very nice atmosphere in there too, relaxed even with the (horrible) techno music they were playing. Everyone was very laid back and it was -so- nice.

I'm quitting here because I have a wife to cuddle and to tell how much I love her which I don't do enough.
